Ashira-Mommy can have fun watching the fireworks over the Kremlin from a bridge tonight (brrrrrrrrrrrrr) - but here's how I plan on spending New Year's Eve:

Happy New Year's everyone!!!  >^zz^<

no-snow day

A week ago, we had snow that was higher than the tip of my tail! I've never seen so much snow in all of my life! Mommy let me go outside today - where did all that snow go?

It was right here...

but I don't see any now. I know it was there - lots and lots of it! I know I didn't imagine it...

But I like it like this, much better - all the sunshine, and I get to have a snack of winter grass. (That's the real reason I don't want snow, meow!)

snow day

It snowed! Here's Daddy shoveling.

Hi Daddy!

I wonder what it tastes like?

Should I go out and play?

I'm thinking, I'm thinking...

Here I go!
Or not...

Nah - back inside, where it's all nice and warm. Did they really think I was going to go out in all that cold stuff? Especially when it's over my head??? Silly humans!

Naptime! >^zz^<

Mommy found my newest nesting place... I just can't hide from her! She simply has to go and get the camera, and take pictures, again...

Hah! I'll show her! >^!!^<

Oh, no... she's turning me into a piece of art, again! (secretive purr, preen, ego explosion...) Is my work never done? I was sleeping!!!

game time

Here I am, playing my favorite game, "You Can't See Me".

Did you find me? Here I am!

I love playing this game - I play it all the time. It's the most fun when Daddy plays it with me though - he helps me hide real well! He can get me more covered and tangled up in the sheets than I can myself. And then Mommy has to look for my nose to tell where I am. >^00^<

an apple for the teacher

Daddy asked me for help for a project for Ashira-Mommy. He wanted to send her a picture of me with an apple? He told me that apples are traditional gifts for teachers. And Ashira-Mommy certainly ate enough of them when she was here!

I have to admit, I wasn't necessarily the world's most cooperative model...

(are we done yet?...)

(Mommy tried bribing me with tuna treats - I think they're much better than apples!)

first post

My Mistress, otherwise known as Ashira-Mommy, left me, and moved to Moscow. It's okay though, 'cause she left me with Mommy and Daddy, and I love them too >^..^< She's teaching people how to speak English. I don't know why they want to learn that instead of cat?

Ashira-Mommy was worried that she didn't get a chance to clean up and put away her last few pieces of clothing before Mommy and Daddy took her to the airport. But really, that's okay too: I have things that remind me of her for my nest. (Mommy tells me that that's what she told her when she started to apologize for not getting to them). See - I think it's a lovely nest:

Thank you Ashira-Mommy - I love you!!!

Now it's time for my nap >^zz^<
